Happy New Year
Another year has gone by and now we are starting not only a new year, but a new decade. I have started my year off by reading the book "Simple Abundance", and writing in my journal daily. I want to approach my life with a thankful heart. We get so caught up in our everyday busy lives and frustrations, that we forget how truly blessed we are. Right now it is bitter cold in the mid-west, and for those who happen to know me...I HATE WINTER! However, I am very thankful to have a roof over my head and a furnace chugging away to warm my half frozen tootsies. I am making the choice to look on each day as a blessing and an opportunity. I want to focus less on myself and more on others. I also want to deepen my relationship with God on very personal level. Meditation, reflection and prayer time with God I believe is key to living a life of joy and fulfillment. I challenge you to take the time each day to write down three things you are thankful for and pray/reflect on those things. I bet soon your life will overflow with gratitude. Look on each day as a gift and don't waste a moment. Go out there and make a difference. Do something for someone else and you will be rewarded with true joy.
